Dr. Roger Mallol wins the “Premi Pioner 2014”
The CERCA Institution (Centres de Recerca de Catalunya) has awarded Roger Mallol with the prize Pioner 2014 for his thesis:
“Development and evaluation of a novel advanced lipoprotein test based on 2D Diffusion-ordered 1H NMR Spectroscopy”.
The jury has valued its originality in helping to improve cardiovascular risk factors, the methodological contribution of research and industrial commitment shown by adequate protection of intellectual property and the creation of the spin-off Biosfer Teslab.

A report about Biosfer Teslab in Diari de Tarragona
The suplement “Economia y Negocios” from the Diari de Tarragona, has published a report about Biosfer Teslab last Sunday 2/2/14.

Biosfer Teslab, a spin-off generated from the Metabolimics Platform research studies.
Roger Mallol and Núria Amigó, PhD students from de Metabolomics Platform, set up the spin-off Biosfer Teslab, a company that produces an advanced lipoprotein test to predict cardiovascular diseases.
The company Biosfer Teslab won the price ReusEmpresa last November 2013.

The diabetes day brings TV3 to the Metabolomics Platform
A report about the Metabolomics Platform in the new Centre for Omic Science was seen in the Television from Catalonia last 13th November, where Dr. Xavier Correig was interviewed about his research on lipoproteins in diabetics to improve the estimation of cardiovascular risk.
